Stupa of Complete Victory

The Stupa of Complete Victory, also named the Stupa of Blessing or the Stupa of Power over Longevity, is one of the eight kinds of traditional Tibetan Stupas related to different significant events in the life of Buddha Shakyamuni.

The first Stupa of such type was built by his disciples in the ancient city of Vaishali after Buddha upon their request prolonged his life for three months at the age of 80. Thus the Stupa of Complete Victory symbolizes the victory of Buddha’s Teachings over death. It has a cylinder shape and three steps in its central part.
